Aria

Install Aria

Aria runs on a Windows PC in the booth. It is one download and one sign-in.

Download and install

  1. Go to ariascreen.com and press Download. The installer is about 1.5 GB, so start it before the day you need it.
  2. Run the file when it finishes downloading.
  3. Windows will show a blue box reading Windows protected your PC. Press More info, then Run anyway. Why that warning appears.
  4. Aria installs and opens by itself.
The warning is expected. It appears because the installer is not yet signed with a Microsoft certificate, not because anything is wrong with the file. The page linked above explains what Windows is actually checking.

Signing in is by email. There is no password and no code to copy.

  1. Enter your church's email address, and the church name if you want it on the screen.
  2. Press send, then open the email Aria sends you and click the link.
  3. Leave Aria open while you do it. It picks the sign-in up by itself and moves on.

What you get without paying

Everything that runs on your own computer is free, permanently, with no card: scripture on the screen, all 28 bundled Bibles, song slides, captions, translation, every screen and the whole presentation side. Listening to the service, sermon notes and generated artwork are the paid parts, and a new church starts on a trial of those.

See Account, plans and billing.

Updates

Aria updates itself. It checks when it opens and every thirty minutes after that, downloads only when nothing is live, and installs when no service is running, or when Aria is closed. The installer shows its own window for about twenty minutes while it works.

Do not switch the computer off while that window is open. It is the only thing telling anyone not to reach for the power button.
