Working without the internet
Aria runs on your own computer, so most of it does not need a connection at all.
What keeps working
- All 28 bundled Bible translations, and any Bible you imported.
- Sending a verse to the screen yourself.
- Recognising a spoken reference, and recognising a paraphrased passage.
- Song slides and your whole song library.
- Live translation between the supported languages.
- Every screen, every layout and the whole presentation side.
- Images already in your library.
What needs the internet
- Listening to the service. The transcription runs in the cloud.
- Sermon notes, which are written by a language model.
- Generating new artwork.
- NIV, ESV, NLT and The Message, which are licensed rather than bundled.
If the connection drops during a service, Aria does not stop. It falls back to
a bundled translation where it needs to, and the presentation side carries on. What pauses is
the listening.
